How will 12.8T bandwidth be demonstrated on-site?
The 12.8T XPO DR liquid-cooled optical module, on display at the Accelink booth (#1007) at ECOC 2026, adopts the LRO architecture. Through live, viewable and measurable real-time data, it demonstrates the transmission quality and energy efficiency of high-density optical interconnects.

12.8T Per Module: Pushing Density Even Further
Featuring a 64x200G PAM4 architecture, a single module delivers 12.8T bps of bandwidth, equivalent to the combined bandwidth of eight 1.6T modules. XPO integrates this massive capacity into a high-density pluggable package whose width is only 2.7 times that of a traditional OSFP module. To achieve the same 204.8T switching capacity, a traditional 1.6T OSFP solution requires 4U of rack space, whereas the 12.8T XPO solution needs only 1U, delivering a front-panel bandwidth density up to four times higher and expanding interconnect capacity for high-density AI cluster Scale-Out and Scale-Up networks.
30% Lower Power: Advancing Energy Efficiency in Tandem
With high bandwidth, every watt counts. The module uses the LRO linear receive architecture, reducing power consumption by 30% compared to a Full DSP solution, and dissipates heat from the DSP and optical engine through a built-in integrated cold plate.
The Best of Both: Liquid Cooling and Pluggability for Easier Maintenance
Even at high density, module replacement remains convenient. The front-panel pluggable design, combined with quick-disconnect liquid-cooling interfaces, supports on-site module replacement and simplifies connections, eliminating the need to return the entire system for repair.
One Package, More Possibilities
The XPO platform supports LPO, LRO, FRO and other interface architectures, and is compatible with DR, FR, LR, ZR/ZR+ and other optical interface standards, providing expansion room for diverse optical interconnect requirements.
